Meet The Cast
John Leach
Johnny
John is a lifelong resident of St Cloud and not new the big stage. He has recently taken a break from performing until he saw the opportunity to audition for one of his favorite musicals of all time, "Green Day's American Idiot" Outside of musical theatre John enjoys spending time with family and playing music. After "American Idiot" he plans to stay involved in the local performance space and eagerly awaits the next opportunity to take the stage!
Nate Lundstrom
Will
Nate is a resident of St Cloud and "American Idiot" is their first production with Divergent Stars Theatre Company. They most recently starred in "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" through GREAT Theatre. Apart from being onstage as an actor, he also enjoys spending his free-time playing piano. After "American Idiot" he plans get some hiking and camping in this summer and potential a few adventures over the road.
Matthew Benton
Tunny
Matthew is a resident of San Antonio, Texas and has currently been residing in the Alexandria area the last few years. Their most recently production was "All is Calm" with the Andria Theater and after "American Idiot" they plan to move to the St Cloud area and continue their journey as an actor!
Cole Engstrom-Bolstad
St Jimmy
Cole is a resident of Sartell and is heavily involved in the local theatre scene. Their most recent opportunity on the big stage was in Divergent Stars Theatre's production of "Rocky Horror" last fall. After American Idiot they plan to keep active on the local theatre scene as much as they can!
Mia Hoffman
Whatshername
Mia is a resident of Little Falls and currently resides in the St Cloud area. She is heavily involved in the local theatre scene and most recently starred in Central MN Theatre's dinner theatre event. Mia loves puppets and enjoys Divergent Stars productions because of how they implement puppets whenever possible. After Green Day's "American Idiot" she will be attending the University of Georgia to pursue my MFA in Film, Television & Digital Media.
Emily Ramsey
Heather
Emily is a resident of Plymouth and has recently been living in the St Cloud and staying involved with the local theatre scene. She most recently starred in Central MN Theatre's dinner theatre event early 2024 and plans to attend graduation and hopefully audition for the upcoming production of "Company"
Gabriel Ryland
Favorite Son
Gabriel was born in South Dakota and currently resides in the St. Cloud area. Gabriel recently starred in Better Times Theatre's production of "Fiddle on The Roof" last fall. After his involvement with Green Day's "American Idiot" he plans to continue auditioning and performing musical theatre and doesn't plan to stop anytime soon!
Christina Binder
Extraordinary Girl
Christina is from Sartell MN and currently works at Carrie’s Prom and Tux. She most recently starred in Central MN Theatre's production of Scripts & Savories. Outside of theatre she currently does photography and social media for my brothers band Honey Tree and has been a gymnast for more 15 years! After American Idiot she plans to keep auditioning for upcoming shows and continue making memories!
Daniel Samuelson
Ensemble (Johnny U.S.)
Daniel is a passionate and multi-talented individual and resident of Minnesota who recently starred as Roger in Divergent Stars Theatre's production of "Rent" last summer. Daniel's love for theatre and the arts extends beyond acting, as he also plays guitar and writes his own music in his free time. He is currently working on producing his first EP and after Green Day's American Idiot he plans to host a few live performances and share his original music.
Austin Southers
Ensemble (Will U.S.)
Austin is a talented actor from Otsego, Minnesota. He most recently showcased his talents on the mini stage in Central MN Theatre's dinner theatre event earlier this year, as well as in the Divergent Stars Theatre Company production of "Rocky Horror" last fall. Beyond the stage, Austin takes great pride in his culinary skills, particularly cooking the best chicken wings. After Green Day's American Idiot, Austin is looking forward to auditions of Better Times Theatre Company's upcoming summer musical "Company"!
Cullen Donahue

Cullen, lifelong resident of St. Cloud, Minnesota, has always been passionate about the performing arts. Most recently, Cullen starred in Better Times Theatre Company's production of "Fiddler on the Roof" last fall. Outside of his theatrical pursuits he is a dedicated content creator for his YouTube channel "@TheMinnesotaSuperstars" After Green Day's American Idiot Cullen plans to audition for the upcoming production of "Company"
Cam DeVillers

Cam, current resident of St. Cloud, is a passionate performance artist with a love for theatre. She has been involved in numerous productions with Divergent Stars showcasing her talents both on and off the stage. Most recently, Cam directed and starred in "Rocky Horror" last fall and has currently taken on the role of designing lights for the upcoming production of Green Day's American Idiot (The Musical)
Mari Mauriala

Mari is originally from Isanti, MN, and currently works as a High Priority Banking Specialist in the St. Cloud area while pursuing her passion for theatre. Her most recent production was "Rent" with Divergent Stars Theatre Company where she played the role of Joanne. In her free time Mari enjoys playing the piano and traveling with her fiancée. After Green Day's American Idiot she plans to return to college to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and is excited to audition for GREAT Theatre's upcoming production of "Waitress" this fall, one of her favorite musicals.
Tsisia Ashley

Tsisia is from the vibrant community of Eudora, Mississippi and a newcomer to the world of musicals. They'll be making their musical theatre debut in Divergent Stars Theatre Company's upcoming production next week in Green Day's American Idiot. After this production they plan to audition for future Divergent Stars productions and further their musical theatre journey!
Chantal Oechsle

Chantal is a passionate and multifaceted resident of St. Cloud. Their most recent stage production was "Rent" last summer with Divergent Stars Theatre Company. Their love for the performing arts began at the tender age of three, as they immersed themselves in the world of dance, before expanding their talents to cheerleading and gymnastics. As a political science major, with a minor in international relations and criminal justice at SCSU, they're looking forward to the upcoming election season after Green Day's American Idiot (The Musical) With a keen interest in politics and a desire to make a difference, Chantal plans to spend her time endorsing candidates with everyone's best interests in mind.
Rebecca Simpson

Rebecca is a resident of St. Cloud and a passionate artist working at the Paramount Center for the Arts. On the theatrical front, Rebecca has recently been involved in Great Northern Theatre Company's production of "The Wizard of Oz" Outside of work and the stage, Rebecca is an avid traveler, having visited many places across the US and Europe, often embarking on solo adventures. After her current role in Green Day's American Idiot she plans to take a trip out to Oregon and hopes to participate in another show in the near future.
Kate Dierkhising

Kate is a lifelong resident of St. Cloud who skillfully balances her career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at the St. Cloud VA and her passion for theatre. She most recently starred in 2 of the 3 scripts of Central MN Theatre's dinner theatre last February and Divergent Stars Theatre's production of "Rocky Horror" last fall. Apart from her love for the stage, Kate has also delved into the world of yoga, finding both relaxation and a deeper understanding of various cultures. Kate is eager to audition for future productions and we couldn't be happier!
Tyler Lovitz

Tyler is a resident of Sartell and a passionate artist who works in St. Cloud. They most recently starred in Central MN Theatre's production of "Scripts & Savories" as Ed & Dave. Tyler also showcased their talent in Better Times Theatre's production of Fiddler on the Roof, along with a few other shows over the past year. A little known fact about Tyler is they have played the drums for over 20 years! After Green Day's American Idiot, they plan to audition for the upcoming production of "Company" Auditions and are looking forward to Rocky Horror this fall.
