"Company" Auditions

Better Times Theatre is proud to present auditions for our upcoming summer musical “Company”

Auditions will take place at Studio CMNT in Sauk Rapids late-April.

Performances will take place at the Red Carpet Nightclub mid-July.

On the night of his 35th birthday, confirmed bachelor, Robert, contemplates his unmarried state. Over the course of a series of dinners, drinks and even a wedding, his friends – "those good and crazy married people” – explain the pros and cons of taking on a spouse. The habitually single Robert is forced to question his adamant retention of bachelorhood during a hilarious array of interactions. COMPANY is largely regarded as a trailblazer of the dark-comedy, modern-musical genre and the winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Lyrics and Best Book. This show features a brilliantly brisk and energetic score containing many of Stephen Sondheim's best known songs. Every audience member will see reflections of themselves in at least one of the characters onstage.

Auditions will take place at Studio CMNT at the following dates/times. Auditions will be first come, first serve within your registered time slot. Parking logistics will be provided in your confirmation email.

Following registration you will receive an email from your director regarding audition materials & expectations. Please note audition materials & expectations will not be available until auditions near.

Callbacks will be held in-person only on Thursday, May 2nd. Those required at callbacks will be announced the day of or earlier. Please note you may be required from 6:30pm-9:30pm this day. If you are not needed for callbacks, don't stress as you may still be cast.

Our initial cast meeting will be held on Monday, May 6th. Casting will be announced the day of or earlier. Please note you will be required from 6:30pm-9:30pm this day.

Rehearsals will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 6PM-9PM starting May 7th.

Mandatory tech rehearsals will be July 1-3 from 6pm - 10pm.

Mandatory dress rehearsals will be July 8-10, & 17 from 6pm - 10pm.

Performances will be at The Red Carpet Nightclub on July 11, 12, 13, 18, 20, 21
