"FIDDLER ON THE ROOF" Auditions

Better Times Theatre is proud to present auditions for "Fiddler on the Roof" which will be held at Studio CMNT downtown Sauk Rapids!

Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

Auditions will take place at Studio CMNT at the following dates/times. Auditions will be first come, first serve within your registered time slot. Parking  logistics will be provided in your confirmation email.

Following registration you will receive an email from your director regarding audition materials & expectations. Please note  audition materials & expecataions may not arrive until closer to auditions.

Callbacks will be held in-person only on Thursday, August 24th. Those required at callbacks will be announced the day of or earlier. Please note you may be required from 6pm-9pm this day. Be aware if you are not needed for callbacks you may still be cast.

An initial cast meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 29th. Castings will be announced the day of or earlier. Please note you will be required from 6pm-9pm this day.

Tentative rehearsal scheduled is Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday  from 6PM-9PM starting August 29th at Studio CMNT.

Rehearsal scheduled subject to change.

Performances will be at the Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School, CAC, late October/early November.
